A Thanksgiving-Data Science Mashup

Let:

     Kcal(eat) = calories consumed at Thanksgiving dinner

     Kcal(burn) = calories burned by exercise

     BMI = Body Mass Index

     football  = hours spent viewing or playing football

     parade = hours spent viewing Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

     win = Equals 2 if your football team (playing or watching) won, 1 otherwise.

     cooking = hours spent preparing food

     shopping = number of trips to the grocery store

     guests= number of dinner guests you host

     distance = distance traveled for the holiday, in miles

Thanksgiving Power Rating (TPR) = 2 * [Kcal(eat)/BMI] + [Kcal(burn) – Kcal(eat)]/BMI + (football – parade)^win – [(cooking + shopping) * sqrt(guests)] – 2 * log(distance)

Have a great holiday!
